Capital hill. | may 30 / 2250

Okay, that's it, I can't take it any more: I have to start using capital letters in this diary.

For the past, like, four years, I've been using lower-case letters whenever possible. Basically, as long as it was not dependent on money or grades, I would avoid capital letters. I used to think was all subversive and cool. Now, it just bugs the hell outta me.

I'm not sure why I decided to change; I've done a lot of "official" writing this year (that's the money and/or grades thing), but I don't think I've done much more than in previous years. I think, perhaps, my desire to switch back to capital letters is rooted in two things.
First: I've noticed over the past few months that a lot of people avoid capital letters, especially on the internet. I've also noticed that a great number of these ee cummings (sic) wannabes have terrible spelling and grammar -- and I hate that.
Second: I now (over)use a great literary technique involving capital letters. I call it the Sarcastic Overcapitalization of Stupid Stuff trick. Watch for it -- soon to be appearing at a diary near you.

Wow, I am a nerd.

Love Todd.
